The first annual HabariCon was, of course, an April Fool's joke.
The Habari community had a great time preparing and executing this joke. We're quite sure that the presentations listed were a dead give-away that this was all tongue-in-cheek. We are, in fact, entirely committed to an open community and we greatly value participation from everyone with a desire to improve our project -- whether that's through code, documentation, translations, graphics, support, or evangelism.
If you haven't yet joined our mailing lists, now's the time to do so! How else will you find out about the real HabariCon? Get involved, and help make Habari great!

After a slight delay, HabariCon has officially kicked off!
Our morning keynote speaker never arrived, so Skippy took the reigns to welcome the attendees and lay out the plan for the day. Thanks for stepping up, Skippy!
We expect smooth sailing for the rest of the day. Stay tuned for recordings of the sessions!

HabariCon 2008 is just about to get started. Be sure to check in at the registration desk in order to claim your tee shirt and confirm your lunch preference.
And it wouldn't be a conference unless there was a last minute schedule change. This morning's opening keynote session has been moved from Room A to Room B. We'll post signs, and the folks at the check-in desk will give reminders. If you're reading this from your hotel room before heading to the conference, please remember to go to Room B for the morning keynote!

With less than one month to go until the first annual HabariCon, we're extremely excited to let you know that we'll be making a very special announcement during the closing keynote!
We wish we could spill the beans right now, but alas, you'll have to wait. Attendees of HabariCon 2008 will be the first to know. We'll be sure to post about it as soon as the announcement has been made, so keep an eye on this website around 5:30 PM on Tuesday, April 1!

Wow! Due to an overwhelming interest, we're already overbooked for HabariCon 2008!
We don't know how we're going to do it, but we'll do our best to ensure that everyone who has signed up so far gets a place to sit.
